...Light Wintry Precipitation is Possible Saturday afternoon into early Sunday morning... A strong cold front will push into the Mid-South Saturday afternoon and abruptly drop temperatures below freezing across much of the area by sundown. As cold air quickly rushes into the Mid-South, light rain may turn to snow and or freezing drizzle for areas along and north of the I-40 corridor. Minor snow or ice accumulations may cause elevated surfaces and secondary roads to become slick. In addition, any standing water from previous rainfall may flash freeze Saturday night, resulting in black ice forming on roadways. Please stay tuned for later forecasts and potential changes.
