Announcements:


The Nettleton High School Jazz Band will present a concert on Tuesday, February 20th at 7 p.m. in the NHS Cafeteria.   The Nettleton Band Boosters will be hosting a pre-concert Chili Supper  and Silent Auction with the Nettleton High School Jazz Band providing entertainment!  It'll be a fun night!  Come early and enjoy the chili supper for a donation of $5.   The Auction and Supper will start at 6 PM in the Nettleton High School Cafeteria and the Jazz Band concert will start at 7 PM. Come on out and enjoy some great music and chili while supporting the Nettleton Band!
 

Attention Raider Ladies:
The 2018 Miss Raider Pageant is scheduled for Saturday, March 3rd. Applications are available in the principal’s office, may be downloaded from the Miss Raider Facebook Page, OR may be downloaded HERE. Applications and entry fees are due Tuesday, February 20th.


This is the 30th Anniversary for MASH! 
MASH, or the Medical Applications of Science for Health, is a 2 week summer camp for rising JRs and SRs from Arkansas to learn more about health careers through shadowing, tours, hands on activities, and education. To apply, click HERE.

SENIORS! 
Your FAFSA https://fafsa.ed.gov/ and YoUniversal scholarships.adhe.edu need to be filled out ASAP! If you need assistance completing these, see Mrs. Waln, the senior class counselor.

 

Mark Ford Memorial Scholarship - Attend ASU, 3.0 GPA, must have participated in the NEA District Fair in at least one of the previous three years. Apply HERE.

Craighead County Retired Teachers Scholarship - Must plan to major in education, due March 5. Apply HERE.

Arkansas Trucking Association has established the Carl Tapp Memorial Scholarship Fundis for students interested in pursuing a career as a medium and heavy duty truck technician. Deadline to apply is March 16, 2018. Click HERE for more information.

ASU-Newport’s 2018-19 Institutional Scholarships:
These scholarships are based on ACT score and/or class rank.  I have attached the scholarships for you, but you can also find them and a list of other scholarships at http://www.asun.edu/scholarships.

All Arkansas Students in the Senior grade of High School, scholarships are available for application from the Department of Arkansas, the National American Legion Auxiliary and the National American Legion and the American Legion Department of Arkansas.  Application deadlines are soon.

Help the Nettleton Education Foundation "Lay the Foundation for a better Education" with your purchase of a personalized brick.  Buy a brick to honor your graduate, athlete, musician, dancer, cheerleader or student, past or present.  Bricks will be placed along the walkway between the High School Gym and Cafeteria. 
Bricks are being sold for $75 for a 4x8 inch brick; $150 for an 8x8 inch brick.  The 4x8 brick can accommodate 3 lines, 18 characters per line and the 8x8 brick can accommodate 6 lines, 18 characters per line.  All engraving will be capital letters.  There is an additional charge of $10 for the school logo or $10 for a symbol.
